If I have to deal with anymore fifth years who think its funny to run around in the corridors, at ten in the evening mind you! With nothing but their knickers on I'm going to scream. Honestly! As if that isn't one of the most awkward moments I've encountered. Boys. How ridiculous. Thank Godric Harry and Ron didn't do anything like that when we were that age...you, didn't do anything like that did you?

Homework isn't as bad as I thought it would be. I've managed to finish all my homework for the week in about two and a half evenings. That's better than most, and its not difficult, its just time consuming is all. What with horcrux hunting I'm surprised I have time to relax.

Ron, Harry, will you meet me in the Common Room tonight? I need to speak to you about something. And Ron, uhm, well. We need to decide on costumes I suppose. Not right away, but at least start thinking about it. And Harry, please at least consider coming. Ginny Most girls still don't have dates.

Right - I've got to be off for my Head Girl duties and Ernie hates it when I'm late. I do respect him and all, but Merlin, rules are like gods to him. You know, I think he may like them more than he likes people of the opposite sex.

Godric. I'm at a loss for words in regards to The Prophet. That's absolutely horrible! All those poor families and homes. Especially those who lost a husband or wife. Its sick is what it is. And anyone who begs to differ isn't any different than those who were behind all this. I agree with Harry. Anyone who believes it to be anyone other than Vol V Oh for the love of Merlin woman! Voldemort is completely nutter. The only reason I'm glad the article came out was so that maybe now the public will be a bit more aware as to how dire our situation is! We haven't much time left before things will get completely out of hand. The Ministry needs to step it up a notch and people need to start listening. Its ridiculous that a group of sixteen year olds are-

I believe McGonagall's intentions to be good when concerning the costume ball, but its just something to get our minds off the recent events. The thing is - we don't need to forget. We need to remember. Be aware. Ugh. This is making my brain hurt. I've got to be off to the library anyway. Something with Nott And Ron - if you want to go to the ball with me, don't use me as a last resort.

Well. The ride over was certainly interesting. This group of first years is going to need a firm hand when it comes to discipline and following the rules I'm afraid. Quite a rambunctious class I must say. Reminds me of us... Though I must say - I really do enjoy being Head Girl. I like interacting with all the different students.

N.E.W.T's this year! I can't tell you how excited I am for them. After this we all have to go our separate ways. I'm still not quite sure what I want to do after school if we...no, I can't think like that and I suppose I won't until I speak to McGonagall a bit more. I've been studying for our exams all summer and I feel a bit more prepared than I did before, but we've got the rest of the term I suppose. I'll need to spend a bit more time in the library between my Head Girl duties and classes. Merlin knows when I'll have time to eat.

Does anyone else know where I can find the library hours posted? I've heard Madam Pince changed them so they're a bit longer than they'd usually be this year. Why I've no idea, but I'm not complaining!

I've noticed they've upped the security around the school as well. A lot of aurors walking about after hours. I suppose I'll be working closely with them on my rounds. Perhaps Tonks will be working here! I haven't seen her since June.
